Hydration bladders are a trailwalker's best friend. They keep us hydrated without having to reach into a backpack for a bottle. They can deliver essential nutrients lost during exercise of the Gator- and Stami- variety. They give us something to chew on while we walk, and walk, and walk some more.
But when we finish walking, the warm, moist, slightly sugary/salty interior of our hydration bladders become the perfect growth medium for a variety of life forms that quickly…
